KKS Fantasy: If Team MVP were to trade within

Just a few days ago, two teams under the San Miguel umbrella engaged in some player trades/ acquisition with the aide of two other "rumored" sister farm teams to increase their chances of winning moving forward. This has been a constant (a rather tiring one, even) for Team SMB which has led us to wonder why the teams under the great Manny V. Pangilinan umbrella aren't doing the same.

You could argue that it's because Talk'n'Text, the Team MVP's flagship and answer to San Miguel Beermen, has been winning so much that trades aren't really all that necessary, but we feel that Meralco and NLEX could use a little help here and there as far as some pieces are concerned.

Basically, since we have time to spare (our team-  Rain or Shine already booked a seat in the PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals and is just waiting for the Purefoos - Talk 'n' Text winner), here's something of a fantasy trade scenario that we feel could help all Team MVP franchises right away:

NLEX Road Warriors
Kelly Williams, Ryan Reyes, John Ferriols
Time to reunite head coach Boyet Fernandez with his Santa Lucia championship duo of Williams and Reyes. This basically solves the whole "NLEX needs a consistent point guard" conundrum while adding that much needed flexibility at the 4 spot since Nino Canaleta is but all too happy masquerading as a 6"6 shooting guard. John Ferriols comes in as the resident enforcer/ bruiser to spell either Williams at the 4 or the ageless Asi Taulava at the 5 for some quality minutes and production.

Meralco Bolts
Larry Fonacier, Enrico Villanueva, Mark Borboran
As much as we were tempted to send a point guard to the Bolts (Kevin Alas FTW), we feel that the Bolts are just missing a few more pieces with the way head coach Norman Black is running the team. He's after long players who can run, shoot and defend (interchangeable parts) that almost play like a college team. He already has the core tools in Sean Anthony, Cliff Hodge and Jarred Dillinger, so it's all about adding to that trio and we feel that Fonacier would be a great addition to that as a sort of hybrid point guard. He's not fast, so Dillinger can do all the ball-handling, while Fonacier is the token guy who calls the plays (which we've seen he can do over the years). Villanueva is slowly coming back into game shape, and with a familiar coach in Black, we just can't wait for him to revive his career once more. Borboran comes in as a useful project for Black, a wiry perimeter player with high basketball IQ who just needs to play in a structured system to excel.

Talk'n'Text Tropang Texters
John Wilson, Danny Ildefonso, Raul Soyud
Because who doesn't want to see one last run from head coach Jong Uichico, Danny Ildefonso and Danny Seigle? It will be weird to see, yes, but it would be poetic specially if they somehow land in the PBA Finals versus San Miguel. Wilson comes in as the starting two to Jayson Castro, as they would be a monster to guard. Castro with the slashing, Wilson with the sniping. Defensively, Wilson is vastly under-rated as well so they won't miss a step there. Time for Wilson to get his minutes and not play behind some aging star yes? Raul Soyud, to take lessons from DI.
