Tapos hindi sumali sa Draft e no? TROLLOLOL (Photo credits to the owner) |
Then again, we're looking at a loaded Texters' team that could add both Moala Tautuaa AND Bobby Ray Parks, Jr. in one killing.
So TNT's Jayson Castro's name has been mentioned, as well as the Purefoods' young backcourt tandem of Alex Mallari and Justin Melton, but are they really worth the 2nd pick? A Tautuaa? A Parks, Jr.?
Here we try to make sense of it all, and which teams should offer which players for the 2nd pick.
And because it's been the consensus of late (although we have a different opinion on our Mock Draft), let's go with Tautuaa being selected 1st, which means that Kia's 2nd pick would definitely be used on 2x UAAP MVP Bobby Ray Parks, Jr.
Alaska Aces
We'd trade JVee Casio and Samigue Eman for a chance to land BRP, and have a Chris Banchero-BRP-Calvin Abueva PG, SG, SF unit. Kia gets a solid point guard with no dramas, and a legitimate big man who has been underutilized for so long.
Barangay Ginebra
Josh Urbiztondo, Mac Baracael and Rodney Brondial for BRP. Kia wins right now because they get 3 starters who can all shine in the PBA.
Purefoods Star Hotshots
Mallari and Melton would give Kia a backcourt for the future, but they're not exactly "franchise" guys like a BRP. So realistically, it would have to be Barroca plus a role player like Taha. Yap, Simon and Pingris are basically untouchable anyway.
Talk'n'Text Tropang Texters
Instead of Castro, how about sending Ryan Reyes, Kelly Williams and Rob Reyes over to Kia?
San Miguel Beermen
Call it an Arwind Santos-do-over. Same tools, AS on defense, BRP more offense, but minus all the drama. Should work right?
Should Kia trade their 2015 PBA Draft pick to the highest bidder? If it were to be BRP, where would you want him to go?
