"Pre yan ba yung Ginebra na kinalakihan natin? Lambot e." |
- Ginebra enjoyed a big lead in the 1st quarter thanks primarily to going exclusively inside to Mike Dunnigan and Greg Slaughter. When RoS started running, Ginebra went small to match. In a game of small ball, based on rosters along, RoS has a slight advantage no matter how you look at it (because Wayne Chism can run, Dunnigan can't, and Belga can anchor the offense and defense at the 5 spot, while the 4 man by default for Ginebra- Japeth Aguilar, Mac Baracael, Chris Ellis, are STILL all too raw skills-wise).
- L.A. Tenorio is practically useless these days. His offense is inconsistent, and he can't guard Paul Lee. Where was Josh Urbiztondo? Not saying he can guard Lee, just asking.
- Guys who should've played more: Joseph Yeo. Billy Mamaril.
- Guys who should've played. Period.: Rodney Brondial. James Forrester.
- Ginebra fans saying that Aguilar should've played more because he was playing great, well, no. Not really. If RoS were to have gone exclusively to Belga, we all know how that's going to end-- kakagat na naman si Boy Kagat. If he were to be switched on Chism, well, no, Aguilar is not an import stopper. This isn't fantasy basketball kids.
- PAUL LEE IS ON A TEAR! Seriously. What is he averaging this conference? 18 points 7 rebounds a game? JEEZOOS.
- Surprisingly, Yeng Guiao was chill the entire night. Would've been awesome if he had joined Beau Belga in delivering crotch chops DX SUCK IT! style. Tapos may pyro na neon green magkabilang dulo ng court. Pa X. Yes.
- Lastly, the REFEREES ALLOWED ALL THE HOOLIGANISM TO GO ON. He could've called double technicals on Caguioa and Belga on that rebound play. Ejected Belga for that Monfort knee to the face. How many technicals could you give a guy for crotch chopping all the fans in attendance again?
